Ever heard of Ice Cross? Think high-speed skating, wild turns, and full-contact chaos — all happening on an icy downhill track. Now picture that indoors, under the lights, with a packed crowd cheering every crash and comeback.
On April 30, 2025, Grossinger Motors Arena is hosting something Bloomington has never seen before: a full-blown Indoor Ice Cross event — and it’s going to be unforgettable!
It all started with Tim Cimmer, a former hockey player with a bold vision. He founded the World Ice Cross League to bring this thrilling sport to more people, more cities, and eventually… more arenas. What used to happen only outdoors is now crashing into the mainstream — and Bloomington is on the list.
Behind the mic is Brad Jay, the voice of the Olympics, X Games, and major snowboarding events across the globe. He’s bringing the kind of energy that’ll turn this eventinto an all-out show.
And hitting the ice? Dylan Moriarity from the Turbo Twins — a veteran of Red Bull Crashed Ice and Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal — back to compete and stir things up.
Three divisions are open:
- 13 & Under
- 14–17
- 18 & Over
Athlete registration is $30 for 17 & under, $50 for 18+.
Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for youth and 55+.
Come for the speed, stay for the chaos. Bloomington — you’ve never seen ice like this.
